Born in the North, in Lille in 1977, she settled a little while ago at the opposite end of France, on the Riviera.

Why did it take over twenty-six years to travel our small country from one end to the other?

Do not look there for a long and painstaking family transhumance; for, after all, it depends on the paths we take… And it so happens that having a father who was a Colonel in the air force, this “Lille-Monaco” trip took place via Cameroon with its African pigmentation, down to the inmost depths of Ecuadorian colors, in South America.

We now hold a first key that enables us to better understand our artist and open her paintings to discover in them this great “controlled” and “colored” need for space and escape.

During her exotic childhood and teenage years, her schooling was classical with a natural liking for drawing, resulting in making a self-taught person out of her.

However, to understand completely her painting of today, without trying to interpret it since everyone is free, you need the second key, which was a vocational training certificate in interior decoration, enabling her to master perspectives; above all, it put her in an architect’s role, giving her a taste for perfection of details with a great plausibility in her elaborations and her strokes.

After her studies, she experienced what most artists do: various little jobs, namely on boats, an area which she especially likes.

But she has been devoting herself to the creation of her works since 2001. She often draws her inspiration from a few details collected from people around her, that she uses as a theme, and then transcribes them into information before projecting them onto her supports. The word “support” defines perfectly her favorite material which she likes to use for her paintings: “wood”. The same wood that she saws and cuts up to better illustrate her works that will finally come to life, thanks to this last thick coat of varnish underlining the hyperrealism of her drawings, even if the global style remains surrealistic.
